The breakfast at The Jacobean was a fresh highlight, especially those crispy hash browns that hit the spot! The friendly staff added a lovely touch to our stay, making us feel right at home. Plus, we appreciated the clean rooms that sparkled, setting a cozy vibe.
The bathroom had some pesky black mould on the walls, which was a bit of a letdown. the plugs by the bed weren't standard UK ones, making it a hassle to charge devices—thankfully there were options near the TV.

missingWrote a review on Aug 12charming atmospherebeautiful gardenunpleasant smell
The highlight of my stay was the charming atmosphere, especially in the bar area where it felt vibrant and social. The outdoor garden area overlooks fields and trees, providing a nice setting for families on sunny days.
Unfortunately, the room I stayed in had a strong, unpleasant smell that made for a difficult night. The decor seemed dated and didn’t match the photos online. it felt more like a run-down establishment. The bathroom had a dirty wall and a hole in the door, which gave an overall impression of neglect. There were barely any power outlets near the bed, and the absence of a lift made lugging luggage up the stairs annoying. I also encountered a peculiar door locking mechanism that was confusing and potentially unsafe. While the location was decent, the external appearance and the general state of cleanliness left much to be desired.

The location is a definite highlight, being close to family. Nice stay with friendly vibes
Had a decent stay for 2 nights. Staff were super chill and helpful, especially during breakfast. Room was comfy, though kinda worn, with a shabby shower curtain and rusty radiator. The bar area was a cool spot to relax, but it could really use a facelift. great staff made up for the small issues.

A solid selection for a brief stopover in Coventry with value for money. The afternoon tea was lovely, and the selection of sandwiches and cakes was really good. If you're planning to dine in, just check the menu prices beforehand.

missingWrote a review on May 13lovely viewpleasant stafffantastic foodcheck-in confusionbreakfast issuesdecor wear
I recently stayed at The Jacobean for one night. The check-in process could use some improvement as there was no one at the reception when I arrived, which led to some confusion. My room had a lovely view and was overall comfortable, but I noticed some wear and tear in the decor. The bathroom was clean but lacked sufficient toiletries. I appreciated the tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bar food was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed the large portion sizes. the breakfast did not meet my expectations. The scrambled eggs were cold, and the sausage was tough, which dampened the morning experience. The staff were pleasant throughout my stay, but a bit more attentiveness could go a long way. a mixed experience with some highlights and notable drawbacks.
